Mind Your Comings and Goings: Application of the Ingress and Egress Doctrine Webinar
Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM CST
Category: Webinar
The worldwide pandemic of 2020 forced the workplace to adapt to new demands for remote work. Requiring workers to report to the office “in person” on remote workdays created some challenging issues regarding the compensability of staff who are “required” to attend in-office meetings, discussions, training, or computer upgrades. One of the uncertainties involving workers’ compensation involves what is considered ingress and egress when an employee is working remotely. This course will review ingress and egress as defined by the Texas Labor Code and the compensability of claims that may arise associated with these types of activities.
